Home > Research funding > Allied Health grant

Applications can be for new research projects or to extend the scope of an existing project (that is not funded by an Allied Health Research Grant) by the addition of a novel aspect to an existing study. The Allied Health Research Committee reserves the right to award one grant or split the grant between a number of applicants, depending on the quality of the research proposals.

Purpose

  • To encourage individuals and groups in Allied Health disciplines to undertake clinical research within The Alfred patient population.
  • To fund a study which is complete in itself (and not merely part of a larger study).

Eligibility

  • Candidates must be working in allied health departments that are part of The Alfred Allied Health Business Unit.
  • Applications must be for new research projects by allied health clinicians. Past recipients of Allied Health Research Grants are eligible to apply but they must have completed, written up, published or presented their previously funded projects.

Amount

Up to $20,000 per project.

Duration

One year (may be extended to two years upon application to General Manager, Research Office).
